About Me

Me and my Dad in 1977

Breakfast at Saratoga – 1977

I am a lifelong racing fan.  Growing up I was spoiled, but not in the traditional sense.  Spoiled in the sense that I grew up watching Ruffian, Foolish Pleasure, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, Spectacular Bid, John Henry and so many others.

For nearly a decade I spent the month of August in Saratoga, in a beautiful rented home, visiting the track each morning for the best cold French Toast and orange juice in town while watching the greatest Thoroughbreds in the country exercising.

In the afternoons I watched those same horses, underneath world-class riders, compete in the most challenging of races.

Through it all, my childhood, adolescence and now as an adult, I transform myself each summer back to being eight years old and reflecting on Saratoga Springs, NY: the town, the people and the racing.

Saratoga Springs, NY: Health History Horses … and you and I.
