I grew up the son of a writer for the New York Post and I spent most of my formative years at the racetrack.
This story, Saratoga: One Idiot’s Journey to the Winner’s Circle, is a rather simple one. It is a light hearted and fun loving story of a self-deprecating humored knucklehead kid who grew up at the races, in love with thoroughbred horse racing, Saratoga Springs, NY and ultimately an amazing woman who made a dream he held dear to him for over 40 years come true.
It is also a fun look at some of the more notorious and colorful people that shaped the town’s history. People like the track’s creator John Morrisey, William Travers, Arnold Rothstein and his doings in Saratoga’s Midsummer Derby and more.
It is my first book and one I hope you’ll consider purchasing, and one I very much hope you will enjoy.
